CJRS - Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (Furlough)

The CJRS will be extended until 31st March 2020 for claims running to January 2021. Employees will receive 80% of their usual salary for hours not worked, up to a maximum of £2,500 per month.

Employers do not need to have used the CJRS before and is available across the UK whether the business is open or closed. Employers will be able to use this scheme for both full and flexi furlough suiting the position of their business as long as the Employer has made a PAYE RTI Submission to HMRC between the dates of 20th March and 30th October for the employees that will be on Furlough.

Whilst an employee is on Furlough they cannot do any work for their employer however they can take part in training. Employees will still retain their rights which include SSP, Holiday Pay, redundancy rights etc whilst they are on furlough.

PLEASE NOTE - The Job Retention Bonus will no longer be paid in Fe‌‌‌bruary 2021 due to the ongoing of CJRS. However an alternative incentive will be available when CJRS has finished.
